OUTDOOR use
Make a hole under the base of the pot with a screwdriver or drill to avoid water stagnation.
Place expanded clay or other drainage material on the bottom of the pot.
Insert a layer of non-woven fabric type material to ensure the passage of water but not solids.
Place a layer of soil and place the plant on top. Finally, cover the plant with soil until the pot is full.

Indoor use
Place another pot containing the plant inside the pot and use a suitable saucer at the base.
If you want to proceed without an additional pot, you can proceed as above by drilling a hole in the pot.
Remember to use a saucer to avoid wetting the floor.

EXTRA Tip
It is also possible to drill a hole in the side wall of the pot about 3/5 cm from the bottom to create a "fake saucer" inside.
Fill that space with expanded clay, then non-woven fabric and finally soil.
This way, unless you water it very abundantly, the excess water will remain inside the pot and will not come out and cause problems.

Is the pot suitable for outdoor use?
Yes, the pot can be placed outdoors. If it doesn't have holes, you'll need to drill a hole in the base with a screwdriver, drill, or screwdriver to allow excess water to drain in the event of rain. Multiple small holes are preferable to one large one.
Finally, place a layer of expanded clay at the bottom of the pot to prevent the soil from leaking out of the holes. We also recommend weighing down the bottom of very tall pots with pebbles or sand to prevent them from tipping over.

Are any precautions necessary in indoor environments?

Is the vessel built to withstand low and high temperatures?
Yes, the pot can withstand all weather conditions, both summer and winter. However, remember that, unlike pots, plants are not particularly frost-resistant.

Will the color stay the same over time?
Yes, the pots are UV resistant and will not fade.

Is the vase shock resistant?
The plastic used to make the vase is very durable, and even if dropped from a small height, it won't be damaged. Particularly sharp or pointed objects, however, can damage it.

How can I clean the vase?
A common non-abrasive degreaser is fine for cleaning any vase

What is the self-watering set available in Lechuza products?
Lechuza pots are designed to ensure your plants stay healthy even when you're away or forget to water them.
First, you need to wait for the plant's roots to reach the container's reservoir. This process usually takes three months, during which time you'll need to care for the plant traditionally.
After this period, you simply need to refill the reservoir with water, and the plant will absorb the amount of water it needs. The only thing you'll need to do is refill the reservoir when the indicator reaches the minimum level. It typically takes 2 to 12 weeks for the plant to consume all the water.
To keep your plants looking their best, we recommend periodically adding liquid fertilizer to the water supply.

Upon receipt of the package, please check that the number of packages corresponds to the number indicated on the label and that the packages are intact in all their parts.
If the package appears damaged, unpackaged, wet or dented, please add a specific inspection reserve to the package acceptance signature.
