The Herstera Metal Planter Divider is made of 1.2 mm thick hot-dip galvanized steel , a material designed to ensure high structural strength and advanced protection against corrosion and weathering. The hot-dip galvanizing process ensures long-lasting durability even in professional outdoor settings and high-exposure environments.
The frame is finished with Tiger Drylac® polyester powder coating , applied with a textured matte finish . The combined coating system achieves a C4 high / C5 medium resistance classification according to ISO 12944 , making the planter suitable for public spaces, contract and landscaping projects.
The planter is part of the Herstera Metal Planter collection , composed of modules of varying heights and depths that can be connected to create linear or dividing configurations. Once connected, the modules have no internal walls, encouraging natural root development and optimal soil management.
Each planter features a base with drainage holes to prevent waterlogging and improve plant health. The included adjustable feet allow for proper leveling on uneven surfaces, ensuring stability and efficient drainage in any installation situation.
The Metal Planter Divider is compatible with Herstera light brackets and magnetic LED strips , which allow you to illuminate the planter from the front, creating a dramatic and functional visual effect. We also recommend using an internal geotextile felt , such as Herstera felt bags, to protect the interior lining and improve drainage.
The Herstera Metal Planter Divider is designed for architects, designers, commercial, hospitality, office, and contract spaces requiring a robust, modular, and customizable space-dividing solution. Ideal for terraces, rooftops, public areas, and contemporary settings, it combines high technical performance, design flexibility, and a linear design .

The combination of hot-dip galvanized steel and thermosetting powder coating provides very high resistance to corrosion.
Hot-dip galvanizing
The process involves immersing steel in molten zinc, forming a thick, durable, well-adhered zinc coating. This coating acts as a physical barrier, protecting the steel from corrosive elements such as moisture, chemicals, and atmospheric conditions.
TigerDrylac®
Tiger Drylac® architectural-grade powder coating provides an extra layer of protection, providing resistance to UV rays, abrasion, and harsh environmental conditions. The combination of galvanizing and powder coating provides superior durability and excellent corrosion resistance, making it the ideal choice for harsh environments.

Assembly
To ensure the product's resistance to corrosion, it is essential to keep the protective coating intact.
Be sure to mount the product on a soft surface, such as carpet or cardboard, to avoid damage to the protective paint.
Use only the tools provided. Power screws and other tools could damage the product.
Always use the supplied adjustable feet to raise the pot off the ground. This separation will ensure proper water drainage and prevent the base of the pot from being damaged by the soil.
Maintenance
If necessary, clean the product with a damp cloth or a mild, non-abrasive cleaner. Do not use acidic products.
To ensure the product's resistance to corrosion, it is essential to keep the protective coating intact.
Any accidental damage to the protective coating should be treated promptly with rust-preventing primer and a can or paint marker of the same color. The sooner the repair is made, the less likely the material will deteriorate.
When installing wooden products or parts outdoors, proper treatment is required. Maintenance frequency and methods should be adapted to local weather and environmental conditions, taking into account factors such as sun exposure, rainfall, humidity, temperature, and the presence of wood-boring insects in the area. This may include, but is not limited to, the annual application of weather-resistant oils, sealants, stains, or paints. Consult your trusted hardware store for the best products available in your area.
Correct Use
To ensure the best conditions for your planter and plants, follow these recommendations for optimal use:
1. Geotextile felt bag: Before planting in the planter, it's important to protect the protective liner. Use the Herstera geotextile felt bag accessory to provide an additional layer of protection and prevent potential damage to the liner. Please note that planting directly in the planter without the geotextile felt bag will void the product warranty.
2. Insulation panels: Insulating the walls of the planter with 20 mm thick insulation panels protects the roots from outside temperatures.
3. Substrate: We recommend using substrates that allow root aeration.
4. Drainage material: To ensure proper drainage, it's essential to fill the bottom with a layer of drainage material such as volcanic gravel or expanded clay beads. The thickness of this layer will depend on the size of the pot and the type of plant you're placing in it.
5. Geotextile felt layer: Prevent the substrate from seeping through the drainage material and blocking the outlet holes. Plants with aggressive roots are not recommended.
